As I reported exclusively for 5280 Sports Network earlier today, the Denver Nuggets are set to meet with free agent power forward Paul Millsap.
Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN reported later that the Nuggets braintrust and front office is in Atlanta to woo Milsap. Along with President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly, Team Governor Josh Kroenke was along … as well as coach Michael Malone and guard Gary Harris. The Nuggets planned on speaking with Millsap tonight. Other reporting indicated that the Phoenix Suns dropped out of the Millsap sweepstakes. Late reporting also indicated that the Nuggets main competition, the Minnesota Timberwolves are also contemplating dropping out according to David Aldridge from NBA.com.
This may clear the path for the Nuggets to not only come to a resolution tonight with Millsap, but potentially get him for something team friendly.
